Ahh the wonders of technology...

Feast your eyes on the new technology that is the kisai Escape C from Tokyo Flash. Well the Tokyo Flash watches aren't popular here in Indoesia and maybe it's due to the price (hello, this device will set you back 9,800 yen that is equivalent to $107..bleh).
Apparently this device is a wireless hub that can be paired to your cell phone, mp3, and you can also use it to skype. I wonder when this will be released here we don't even have digital tv, sad i know :(

Real life Pop art..

Halloween make up session held by M.A.C cosmetics brought to life a classic pop art by Roy Lichtenstein, the famous artwork is the first picture above which i might add is iconic in pop art culture. I'm just a big fan of M.A.C i just love the look but it might be weird if i walk around like that..LOL

Heavy eye make up in Ancient Egyptian times had health benefits...

Have you ever been fascinated with ancient Egyptian culture?
and pondered why Cleopatra had adorned such heavy eye make up?
Turns out, that heavy eye make up worn by Cleopatra in those times was more than just to seduce Marc Antony. The heavy eye make up in ancient Egyptian and Roman times contained some salt lead which protects against eye disease(eye infection).
Contrary to widely held belief that lead was harmful, a team from Lourve museum and The CNRS national research institute headed by Philip Walter conducted a research using analytical chemistry, found that 'in very low doses lead does not kill cells.

The research was carried out using a tiny electrode, the 10th of the size of a hair, to look at the effect of a lead chloride synthesised by the Egyptians on a single cell.

You can read more about it
here

I Think that make up manufactures today should at least come up with a concept like this, healthy make up and stop testing on innocent animals. I wonder what Egyptians tested on in those times though?

Eco friendly color dial spray can :D

I made this post as a dedication for my boyfriend since he is a graffiti lover and a graffiti artist also :D
A new innovation from South Korea developed by designers Kim Youngsuk & Kim Woosik has brought a breath of fresh air really to people who love this form of art but feel guilty about harming the environment, because this color dial spray is not only refillable but also has four color cartridges (CYMK). Unlike the normal spray cans that only contain one color and become nothing but metal waste, seeing that the recycle rate of these cans is only one seventh of the 180,000 tonnes of cans produced in South Korea.

This color dial spray contains two dials: one for hue and one for brightness. These allow for precise mixing of the particular colour desired. The colour cartridges can be refilled many times over. The product itself has won the 2009 red dot award for green design.

how cool is that? samsung s9910 Watchphone!!!!

I wish this watchphone will be available in Indonesia any time soon. This so called watchphone is 11.98mm thick which makes it the world's thinnest touch screen device. The display is 176 x220 pixels and supports 262k colors. The watchphone also has bluetooth, MP3 player, speakerphone and voice recognition.
Technology these days just keeps getting more advanced and more innovative, i'm glad that at least if i ever get this phone i can just wear it on my wrist, so i won't have to double check my bag and look for my cell phone, it just always makes me paranoid..LOL

My destination of choice.. Socotra...

It's been a while since my last post, well assignments has consumed me to the very core so i have no room to breathe. If given another task i might even explode or go crazy, seriously i wish i could go to Arkham Asylum..LOL
Moving on, i was browsing today and stumbled upon amazing pictures of the flora and fauna that inhabit a small archipelago of four islands that is Socotra. Socotra lies off 80 km east of Horn of Africa and 380 km South of The Arab Peninsula. This island is very isolated yet a third of its plant life is found no where else on the planet, this place has even been described as the most alien looking place on earth (kinda reminds me of Avatar).
The island has been recognized by UNESCO as a natural heritage site in July 2008, a move which i clearly believe in, since it is important to maintain the 300 plant species that are endemic to this island. :D
